On January 26, 2008 the last event at the memorable Orange Bowl was held. This event was an open house where a couple of games were held, one was a game between two police departments and the other was a game of old timers from the Miami Dolphins and the University of Miami Hurricanes. There was also an autograph signing session, music, food and parts of the old granddaddy were sold. People bought chairs, urinals, pieces of concrete that had already been demolished, signed footballs, and even the score board was for sale. Sadly enough I knew that this beauty would no longer be around for long. I can only think back at all the wonderful memories I have of this place. Games that I attended when I was in High School, I saw the first National Championship game that the University of Miami won against Nebraska, and many concerts. For anyone who grew up in Miami, this was a special place and that is why I decided to dedicate this small portion of my web page to the City of Miami Orange Bowl.
